Temporary congestion charge – introduced from 1st of November 2015

The construction work on the German motorway A7 – the distance between Hamburg and the Danish/German border and the establishment of the soundproofing motorway tunnel at Hamburg-Schnelsen – has gone into the most intensive phase, which brings great traffic challenges.

On a distance of 65 kilometres, for north- as well as southbound traffic, massive queues arises. Alternative routes are pressed as well of much extra traffic and results in extra kilometres.

The mentioned challenges result in considerable waiting time and reduce the productivity, for which reason we, after a long period to have absorbed the extra costs connected with the challenges by ourselves, have decided, for a period until the situation improves, to introduce a ”congestion charge” for all transports between Jutland/Funen and The Continent/Central Europe.
