Here in the height of the summer heat, IAT has been engaged in an exciting project involving moving production equipment from a factory in northern England to Denmark. The project involved transport of four “ordinary” trailers and one flatbed trailer, which transported three pieces of equipment which measured up to 3.7 meters wide! The four ordinary trailers were transported first and then the special transport followed. The units were loaded with a crane and lashed fast and then the special transport, which required an escort vehicle, left the factory and made its way to Immingham for transport by ship to Esbjerg. When the ship arrived in Esbjerg, the permissions for transport in Denmark and an escort vehicle were ready and waiting. The cargo was soon on its way to its final destination, where another crane unloaded the large units.
