Distribution of gas in Denmark

In February 2018, IAT A/S and Air Liquide in Denmark commenced a comprehensive, long-running cooperation on bulk distribution of gas in Denmark.

”We are proud to expand on the cooperation with a good, existing customer”, says Jørgen Rathschau Sørensen, Manging Director of IAT A/S. “With this contract, IAT will become the largest distributor of gas in Denmark”.

For the past 8 years, IAT A/S has distributed gas cylinders for Air Liquide, and beat many competitors to win the contract.

“Gas distribution puts high demand on equipment, environmental and quality systems as well as internal procedures. We attach great importance to a high level of education and training in dangerous goods among our staff”, explains Jørgen Sørensen.

According to Lone Batholin Jensen, Nordic Bulk Logistics Manager from Air Liquide, one of the reasons why the contract was awarded to the Esbjerg-based transport company, is IAT’s longstanding experience with the handling and distribution of dangerous goods, as well as IAT’s reputation from the existing cooperation between the two companies.

As part of the contract, IAT A/S has dedicated a large fleet of tank trucks, integrated in Air Liquide’s distribution chain with direct deliveries to the customers of Air Liquide in Denmark.
